Dr. Brian Pugh is a lecturer in the Shackouls Honors College at Mississippi State University and the executive director of the Stennis Center for Public Service - a federal legislative branch agency with offices in Starkville, MS, and Washington, D.C. Dr. Pugh has over a decade of government experience. He previously served as deputy director of the Mississippi Department of Finance & Administration, as fiscal policy advisor and director of finance for the Office of the Governor, and as a legislative budget analyst for the Legislative Budget Office. Dr. Pugh's research interests include Public Administration and Public Budgeting, and he is the author of the upcoming book, "Chaos and Compromise: The Evolution of the Mississippi Budgeting Process."
