DeeDee Baldwin

After working in the library's Manuscripts department since 2007, I was hired as the History Research Librarian in 2017. In the fall of 2019, I also became the librarian's liaison to the Honors College. My research interests are African American history, women's history, genealogy, and teaching with primary sources. In my spare time, I enjoy acting in plays at Starkville Community Theatre, doing genealogy, and loving on my pets - two cats, a bearded dragon, a leopard gecko, two degus, and an axolotl.

I'm here to help Honors students one-on-one with their research projects and even basic reference questions. Contact me by email anytime or log into my virtual reference hours on Wednesday or Thursday afternoons to have a chat. These hours are set aside only to serve Honors students!
