This is just a reminder that the deadline to have your Goldwater application submitted to the university is December 8th. A completed application consists of 3 parts:
1) A completed on-line application (individual)
2) A two page essay discussing a significant issue or problem in the chosen field of study
3) Three letters of recommendation from a) two faculty members who can discuss the nominee's career potential (at least one of these must be in your field of study) and b) another individual who can attest to the nominee's potential. (If you have been involved in research, one of your letters must come from the individual who supervised your work).
These should be submitted to Dr. Tommy Anderson, Mississippi State's faculty representative to the Barry Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education Program.
