Welcome to the Honors Undergraduate Research Program. Thanks to the generosity of Bobby and Judy Shackouls, the National Strategic Planning and Analysis Research Center (NSPARC), and the Office of Research and Economic Development, we are able to support the research and creative activity of students in the Shackouls Honors College.

The Office of Undergraduate Research assists undergraduate students interested in research by connecting all MSU students, not just Honors students, with faculty research mentors across campus and providing funding opportunities for Honors students through our travel awards, summer fellowships, and internship support programs.

Undergraduate research affords you the opportunity to apply what you already know to new issues that interest you, and allows you to develop new skills. It is our hope that you will learn what sort of creative work a scholar in your field does. You will meet others with similar interests, gain confidence, immerse yourself in the intellectual environment at MSU, and use your experiences to help you choose a future career path. The creation of new works fuels the joy of discovery. Find out where your imagination can take you.

Explore this site to find research projects and funding opportunities. If you have an idea of your own, consult with a faculty member or contact us for assistance. If you have any questions, please stop by our offices or send us an email. We are here to help.
