Scholarships

The Shackouls Honors College assists well-qualified MSU students in preparing to compete for prestigious national and international scholarships. Anyone who is interested in participation should first investigate the various scholarships to determine which may be complementary to personal qualifications, plans, and goals and to identify the MSU application deadlines.

The MSU program is designed to serve students who have built university credentials confirming academic achievement, particularly in independent research and study endeavors, active involvement in the major department or related organization, and leadership roles and personal initiative in campus, community, or public service activities. Sophomore students may benefit from the advisory program that guides them to develop appropriate credentials, in part by competing for support to serve in an internship or to study abroad.

Anyone who wishes to inquire about the program should make an appointment to discuss plans and qualifications that should be reflected in an informal listing of achievements brought to the meeting.

We encourage highly-motivated students, especially sophomores and juniors, to investigate these exceptional opportunities.
