Honors Residence Hall

Space in Griffis Hall is limited and housing assignments are made on a first-come, first-served basis by the date of MSU admissions application.

The Honors residence halls are "study-friendly" environments. You can relax in a living environment that will be quiet and comfortable when you need it to be. This does not mean that life will be boring! The truth is that Honors houses a diverse cross section of students at Mississippi State. It is likely that your neighbors down the hall will play in a band, be members of an intramural athletic team, or be campus leaders. Honors students not only play together, they study together as well. Got a tough Honors calculus exam coming up? Well, odds are that 20 other people in the hall do, too. The students you meet in Honors housing may become some of your closest friends during your years at MSU.

Honors students are not required to live in Honors housing. While a large number of Honors students do choose to live in Honors housing, you may choose to live wherever you please and continue to be an Honors student. Special events and activities geared toward Honors students most likely will be located in Honors housing, but every attempt is made to include Honors students who live in other residence halls or off campus.
